Overview
This is a part-time on-site role for a Gallery Manager located in St Andrews. The Gallery Manager will be responsible for the daily operations of the gallery including sales, finance and shipping; managing digital presence; curating exhibitions; building relationships with artists and clients; community engagement. The Gallery Manager will work closely with the owner.
Responsibilities
- Opening and closing the gallery
- Managing rotas
- Artist payments and remittances
- Purchase of framing equipment
- Maintaining website content
- Photographing artworks
- Sending mailchimp emails
- Online admin
- Assisting with exhibition catalogues
- Assisting with curation
- Attending opening events
Person required will have
- Ability to take initiative
- Competence in IT. Will need to become proficient in use of Artlogic, Mailchimp and Canva, as well as Microsoft 365
- Skills in coordinating with artists and managing gallery events
- Proficiency in marketing and promotional activities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Genuine interest in and enthusiasm for art
The role is initially for 3 days per werk but there is scope to increase this. Salary will be in line with experience.
