Nurse Associate (NA)/ Trainee Nurse Associate (TNA) The Galleries Medical Practice is currently recruiting for aqualified Nurse Associate or Trainee Nurse Associate with experience of working in General Practice. The role will besolely based at Galleries Medical Practice working under the supervision of Senior Advanced Nurse Practitioner. This is a full-time permanent post. Salary: Based on experience and skills. Main duties of the job Be responsible for delivering high quality, patient centred,compassionate care under the direction of a Practice Nurse with a focus onpromoting health and independence. Be an accountable professional. Work as part of a designated clinical and care teamdelivering care that focuses on the direct needs of the individual. Carry out specific clinical and care tasks andresponsibilities to a high standard and competency, under the direction of aCommunity Link Nurse. Have the ability to work without direct supervision attimes, delivering care independently in line with a patients defined plan ofcare, within the scope of practice expected of a Nurse Associate/ Trainee Nurse Associate role. Job responsibilities Maintain a professional portfolio, identifying role andskill developments in line with the NMC Code of professional practice. Keep up to date with current national developments innursing practice and policy Ensure NMC revalidation requirements are met To contribute to PCN wide /departmental policies, proceduresand guidelines. Maintain a professional appearance. Qualifications Registered Nurse Associate on the NMC register or currently completing the Trainee Nurse Associate Course Care Certificate Educated to a minimum level 5 foundation degree specific to nursing associate practice GCSE level 4-9 in Maths and English or equivalent Experience of working in General Practice and understanding of the scope of the role of the Nurse Associate or Trainee Nurse Associate in context of the team and the organisation, and how the role may contribute to service development Ability to work effectively as a team player under appropriate supervision, and as part of a multi-disciplinary team Insight into how to evaluate own strengths and development needs, seeking advice where appropriate Evidence of time management skills and ability to prioritise IT skills appropriate to the role Ability to communicate with members of the public and health and care providers Courteous, respectful and helpful at all times Ability to deal with non-routine and unpredictable nature of the workload and individual patient contact Ability to work on own initiative, be well motivated and motivate others Ability to take part in reflective practice and clinical supervision activities Able to demonstrate resilience, managing personal emotions and stress Knowledge of when to seek advice and refer to a registered care professional Ability to engage and complete preceptorship Understanding of evidence based practice Experience Previous experience of working within a health / care setting Understanding of the importance of the promotion of health and wellbeing (Making Every Contact Count) and willing to progress in role with training Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
