Job Description
Document Control/Site Administrator
Galldris Group
Location: Sizewell C, Leiston
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Document Control/Site Administrator to join our Sizewell C team. To be considered, you will come from a Civil Engineering or Construction background.
The Document Control/Site Administrator will have to hold a full UK driving licence and valid CSCS Card. The Document Control/Site Administrator will manage the document control process on the project, liaising internally with the site team, and externally with the Client. The postholder will also manage all site documentation.
Key Accountabilities to include but not limited to:
• Proactively lead and manage document control on selected project/s, being the first point of contact for all document control issues
• To update and maintain company share drive with all project documentation including H&S and Q&A
• Weekly material/plant/waste returns
• Scanning/filing of all site documents
• Monthly environmental report
• Updating site drawing register
• On boarding / security clearance
o Collecting and chasing operatives' paperwork
o Sending over to Sizewell SVU Dept for clearance of the above
o Chasing operatives to respond to email once cleared
o Booking in the inductions
o Arranging transfers of operatives already inducted from other Tier 1 contractors
• Booking in visitors for temporary passes via VMS booking system
• Booking in deliveries on Datascope
o Chasing for the correct information/booking forms from supply chain
o Dealing with any questions from Sizewell
o Investigating with transport failings / complaints from Sizewell
o Distribute all Sizewell protocols/haulier app instructions to supply chain
o Requesting App log in codes for haulier/drivers
o Checking app usage and chasing those not using
• Completing Waste and materials trackers
• Arranging vehicle passes
• Maintaining WIMS system of all workers, keeping records up to date. Removing leavers, updating cards etc when expired
• Comply with Company procedures
Experience/Knowledge:
• Experience as a Document Controller, preferably with a Main Contractor
• Experience in the Construction Industry / working on-site
• Construction understanding and background
Qualifications:
• Recognised Construction or technical discipline qualifications desirable
• Full UK Driving Licence and own vehicle
• Valid CSCS Card
Skills:
• Excellent IT skills – Excel/Microsoft Word knowledge. Datascope & CEMAR experience desirable but full training will be given
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to deal with clients & internal staff. Ability to work on own initiative
• Meticulous, organised, proactive with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Eye for Detail. Self-motivated and enthusiastic
