Overview
We are seeking a passionate individual who is dedicated to ensuring excellence and supporting the growth and development of others to join our team of Quality Assurance experts to look after our SME division. If you have experience within in the insurance industry, we are particularly interested in hearing from you. Your expertise, sound judgment, and compliance track record will be invaluable in keeping our organization on the right track.
Working alongside a committed, professional, and assertive team, you will be responsible for monitoring, validating, and verifying audits conducted, in order to provide accurate and constructive feedback to colleagues.
This role can be based out of our Llantrisant or Brierley Hill onsite. There will be minimal travel across these offices and Jersey, Isle of Man, and Guernsey.
How you\’ll make an impact
- Use your experience in insurance and quality to ensure the risks presented to our business are mitigated by giving feedback and identifying trends in audits
- Build relationships with key stakeholders within the business and provide feedback on trends and areas of risk
- Conduct accurate audits in line with our monitoring requirements
- Verify an agreed sample of all files audited to ensure accuracy and consistency of marking and working with offshore auditors to ensure standards are maintained
- Report on branch audit results, provide feedback to team members, and develop remedial action plans to address findings. Recognise any significant risks to the business and highlight as appropriate
- Support with project work and help to build a strong platform for implementing change and consistency
- Keep up to date with industry knowledge to ensure appropriate proficiency levels are maintained, especially Financial Conduct Authority compliance requirements
About You
- Insurance experience ideal – we are happy to consider those coming from a similar background, or those within the industry looking to branch out to a more technical role
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, having or working towards CII/ Dip CII. With a deep knowledge of the principles of Quality Assurance
- Strong working knowledge of current compliance practices and techniques, detailed accuracy of retail conduct risk outcomes
- A full grasp of business processes with the ability to offer solutions; along with a proven record working to targets within a regulated, measurable framework
- Ability to build strong and credible relationships with key partners and team members. Excellent interpersonal skills, strong team leadership, happy to motivate and develop staff
- Can recognise potential risks and seek advice if needed
- Good organisational skills for forward planning and a strong awareness of ethics and integrity in customer focus.
