OverviewWe are looking for a dedicated and ambitious Part-Qualified Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team in Glasgow\’s city centre. This is an outstanding opportunity to play a key role in our Global Lease Accounting team, where you will ensure flawless execution of monthly lease accounting entries. How you\’ll make an impactPreparation of monthly lease accounting entries and statutory lease accounting entries in line with reporting deadlines, in accordance with the Gallagher financial policy manual and local GAAP.Review and preparation of prepayment accounting entries.Running GL reports and balancing to underlying accounting systems.Review of lease documentation and performing accounting modifications (including renewals and terminations).Investigating and advancing variances as needed.Prepare variance analysis and commentary as required.Assist in preparation of internal and external reports.Liaising with GSC and local finance teams to investigate transactions, ensuring results and balances are accurately reported.Assistance and support in response to external and internal audit requests.Play a key role in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline our processes and ways of working with other teams to optimise efficiency.Preparation of ad hoc analysis as required.Ensure SOX requirements are fully met.Align with AJG Professional Standards Manual in accordance with statutory requirements for the role, with specific attention to Whistle Blowing and Treating Customers Fairly.Follow internal policies, laws, and Gallagher’s values, prioritising clients in all tasks.Take responsibility for remedial action planning and execution in conjunction with relevant experts if shortcomings are identified.
