OverviewAs Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in managing legal risk, with a particular focus on technology and procurement agreements. Your responsibilities will include drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on a diverse range of vendor contracts, such as SaaS agreements, consultancy arrangements, data provision contracts, HR services agreements, and data processing agreements. You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, mitigate legal risks, and align contract reviews with the strategic objectives of key internal stakeholders, including Procurement, IT, and Data Protection teams. In this role, you will act as a vital legal intermediary between the business and external counsel, overseeing engagements and managing budgets as needed. Furthermore, you will deliver legal training to trainees, paralegals, and non-lawyers, while also developing legal templates, playbooks, and efficiency initiatives to enhance service delivery. This position offers the flexibility of remote working, with occasional travel to London required. How you\âll make an impactDraft, review, and negotiate technology and vendor contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance and mitigating legal risks.Build strong relationships with internal teams, including Procurement, IT, and Data Protection, and manage external counsel engagements when necessary.Provide accurate and practical legal advice, reflecting English law, and deliver legal training to internal teams.Develop legal templates, guidance notes, and playbooks, and leverage Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) and AI tools to enhance efficiency.Stay informed about changes in laws affecting vendor contracts, including data protection, financial services regulation, and AI laws.
