We are looking to recruit an Account Executive to join the International Construction team within Alesco/Gallagher based in the office in London. You will be responsible for servicing accounts by preparing documentation for our clients, including but not limited to project and renewal administration, preparation of underwriting presentations to insurers, negotiating premiums with underwriters, preparing client reports and other documentation in conjunction with the account managers.
How you'll make an impact
- Assist in the placement process, the gathering of information and preparation of underwriting submission.
- Prepare documentation for existing customers in relation to renewals and mid-term adjustments in partnership with account managers.
- Support Brokers in negotiating with insurers to obtain terms for clients that accurately and effectively match customer requirements.
- Follow up on quotations and lend support to Brokers.
- Ensure all customer details are recorded accurately.
- Deal with Insurer queries in relation to customer policies.
- Assist with customer queries relating to existing policies and liaise with insurers regarding potential changes and new terms for policies.
- Confirm cover with relevant insurers, process policies and chase up outstanding documentation when required.
- Deal with account queries and credit control matters, ensuring they are resolved efficiently and any concerns are raised.
- Manage own workload in order to effectively service the client relationship and ensure placements are completed within client deadlines.
- Support senior team members in the RFP process.
About You
- Holding/working towards one of the Chartered Insurance Institute Qualifications: Cert CII / Dip CII.
- Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent is desirable.
- Basic knowledge of general insurance (London Market / Lloydâs and Industry) products, services, classes of insurance including underlying legal principles and practices relating to risk within own role capacity.
- Insurance administration experience desirable in a commercial setting.
- Excellent working knowledge MS Office, particularly Word & Excel.
- Due diligence in administration and policy checks / processes.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of client, market and insurance industry network.
- Comfortable working to targets.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated and motivates others to achieve.
- Excellent customer service focus.
- Able to identify potential risk/issues and seek advice/consultation when required.
- Good planning and analytical skills.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
