Overview
Here at Gallagher Benefit Services, following a period of sustained growth and success which includes the acquisitions of Buck in 2024 and Redington in 2025 and numerous award wins, we are looking to continue this growth by making a number of graduate hires into our Pensions Actuarial Consulting team.
We are recruiting for our teams in offices centrally located in Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Ipswich and for roles to begin in September 2026.

How you\âll make an impact
To give you a flavour of a typical week within this role, here are some of the key responsibilities:
- Working within a diverse team of qualified and part qualified actuaries to support our pension scheme clients
- Performing day-to-day member calculations
- Preparing reports, letters, and other client materials
- Assessing the funding level of schemes by performing valuations of liabilities and assets
- Analysing and testing data received from clients
- Participating in internal projects, handling special projects and ad hoc assignments as needed
- Assisting scheme consultants with the consultancy aspects of pension schemes
- Establishing strong working relationships with clients and colleagues, with early access to clients through preparing for and attending client meetings
- Building up consulting knowledge on actuarial and non-actuarial aspects of pension scheme
The longer-term objective of this role is for you to progress towards qualifying as an Actuary, eventually obtaining a Scheme Actuary certificate â which we fully support â and holding responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients.
About You
Weâre looking for self-motivated, personable, and aspiring individuals studying a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths) degree subject who have acquired or are on course to obtain a 1st or 2:1 classification.
