Are you passionate about driving business value through innovative technology solutions? We are seeking an Application Solution Architect to join our team and partner with our business customers across the UK’s trading divisions. In this role, you will identify, shape, and deliver solutions that meet business needs and drive measurable value for Gallagher.
Responsibilities include ensuring the successful delivery, standardization, quality, and cost-effectiveness of IT solutions, applications, and services. You will build strong relationships with stakeholders, including at the Executive Committee level, to facilitate the adoption of new technologies and ensure alignment with Gallagher’s standards and policies.
You will act as the sole Application Architect for our Retail Division in the UK & Ireland, with a focus on application migrations and system landscape definition.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive business value by identifying, shaping, and delivering fit-for-purpose technology solutions.
- Leverage experience in application migration and system landscape definition.
- Utilize knowledge of digital and customer journeys, including portals and Quote & Buy requirements.
- Assess current in-house systems and the viability of incoming application migrations.
- Understand the full service transition from project to business-as-usual support lifecycle.
- Assist business customers in adopting new third-party technology solutions in line with Gallagher standards.
- Govern IT investments across portfolios to ensure compliance with strategy, standards, and policies.
- Provide technical advice and support to ensure developments meet standards.
- Demonstrate the value of technology to the business and govern solution implementations.
- Promote reuse of existing solutions and adherence to standards to reduce technical debt.
- Advise on opportunities to exploit technology solutions.
- Contribute to the success of the wider IT agenda.
- Adhere to internal policies, procedures, laws, regulations, and Gallagher’s values, focusing on client-centricity.
- Proven experience as an Application Architect, especially with applications on-premises/cloud-based.
- Experience working on application migrations.
- TOGAF accreditation.
- Experience in a Business Analysis/Architecture environment within the insurance industry, working with applications like Quote & Buy tools.
- Strong strategy and roadmap production skills.
- Excellent analysis and design capabilities.
