We’re looking for a Claims Handler to join our Latin America and Caribbean team within reinsurance. This role is based in Ipswich, working closely with colleagues in Ipswich and London, as well as our clients. We are flexible on background for this role and will provide full training; however, the successful candidate will have fluent Spanish language skills.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Handle claims and cash call instructions from clients promptly and keep them updated.
- Work with reinsurers to agree on claims, following contract terms.
- Resolve queries from clients and reinsurers, escalating when needed.
- Build strong relationships with clients, reinsurers, and third parties.
- Collaborate with your team and other departments to deliver excellent service.
- Keep records organised and ensure all documents are stored correctly.
- Support financial processes to ensure secure and efficient handling of client funds.
- Perform checks to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
About You:
- A-levels or equivalent, or have relevant industry experience.
- Fluent in Spanish (both written and verbal).
- Comfortable using IT systems, including Microsoft Office.
- Great communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and can manage your time effectively.
- Enjoy working in a team but can also work independently.
- Eager to learn and grow in your role.
- Have the ability to build strong relationships with clients, brokers, and markets.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
