We are currently looking for two Software Engineers to join our agile development team working on a major technical refresh and integration project of our Ada Advisory platform. The work involved significant updates to existing services and infrastructure as well as migration to a new Azure subscription. You will contribute on every aspect of the development work including analysis, technical specification & design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. As a senior member of the team, you will contribute to sprint ceremonies, backlog refinement, estimation activity and, where appropriate, provide technical leadership across designated workstreams or initiatives. This is a 12 month fixed term contract and can be based anywhere in the UK. Occasional travel is required but will be infrequent and planned.
How you'll make an impact
- Undertake software engineering duties across the full stack and full development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, specification, design, development, testing, deployment and support.
- Contribute fully to Agile ways of working, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation and related team activities.
- Take ownership of allocated features, work packages or projects, providing technical direction where required.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Carry out any other duties reasonably required and commensurate with the level of the post.
About You
- Extensive experience developing in C# /.NET including experience of .Net Frameworks is essential.
- Experience of React and TypeScript/JavaScript and associated web technologies.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud technologies is essential.
- Good working knowledge of relational database management systems and SQL, preferably MongoDB and/or SQL Server.
- Experience of working with microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with automation testing technologies and techniques especially Playwright.
- Knowledge of tools including Octopus Deploy, TeamCity, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes or Docker would be advantageous.
- Ability to take ownership of features, initiatives or projects and provide technical leadership as required.
- Professional and collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
