Are you ready to make an impact? Join Gallagher’s Communications Practice as an Internal Communications (IC) Subject Matter Expert. In this key role, you’ll collaborate with our Client Services, Creative, and Digital teams to craft strategic recommendations that inspire and deliver results for a diverse range of clients. From conducting audits and analysing trends to shaping campaign goals and messages, your expertise will drive meaningful outcomes.
You’ll also play a vital role in growing our business—wowing prospects with your knowledge, representing Gallagher at industry events, and elevating our brand on the global stage.
How you’ll make an impact- Industry Expertise: Stay ahead of trends in the Internal Communications industry, using insights to shape innovative strategies for clients. Understand clients’ brands, objectives, and challenges to deliver tailored solutions. Develop intelligent, cohesive IC plans that drive campaign success and client growth. Generate creative ideas in collaboration with the Communications Practice team. Act as the voice of Gallagher Communications on all things IC, sharing expertise with clients and colleagues.
- Client Delivery: Provide strategic guidance to clients, driving long-term growth and success. Partner with senior leaders to create commercially creative solutions for clients and Gallagher. Conduct client audits, identify challenges, and recommend actionable solutions. Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, becoming their go-to IC expert.
- Collaboration & Relationships: Inspire, guide, and support the Client Service team and wider Practice on IC best practices. Build strong relationships with global Gallagher colleagues, championing collaboration and our BetterWorks value proposition. Support new business pitches, tenders, and client onboarding, contributing to the growth of the business.
- Business Development: Work with the Leadership Team to achieve strategic objectives and identify new opportunities. Contribute to product and proposition development, ensuring our offerings evolve with market needs. Represent Gallagher at industry events, strengthening our IC proposition in the market.
- Operational Excellence: Accurately record time and meet utilisation targets. Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulations, and Gallagher’s shared values, always putting clients at the heart of what we do.
- Strong expertise in Internal Communications, with a solid understanding of industry best practices.
- Consultancy or agency experience essential, with a proven ability to manage complex client accounts and engage senior stakeholders.
- Experience with global or US clients and presenting at industry events is a plus.
- Skilled in creating and sharing thought leadership content.
- Strategic thinker with excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with a focus on internal communication and employee engagement.
- Confident presenter, influencer, and relationship builder.
- Proficient in social media for brand awareness and business development.
- Collaborative, adaptable, and solutions-focused, with a keen eye for detail.
- Commercially aware and committed to delivering exceptional client service.
- Right to Work in the UK.
- Willing to travel as needed (e.g., up to 5 weeks annually, including potential US travel).
