Join Gallagher Bassett as a Claims Manager, where you’ll oversee a corporate client motor recovery team and ensure the consistent delivery of a premium service. Based in Tamworth, with occasional travel to Northamptonshire, this role offers the opportunity to shape processes, mentor a talented team, and build strong client relationships.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of the day‑to‑day management of a corporate client motor recovery team. You’ll work closely with the management teams to deliver exceptional client service and achieve key targets. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of claims handlers, ensuring they meet client service level agreements and key performance indicators.
  • Acting as the key link between claims handlers and the management teams, ensuring smooth communication and alignment.
  • Overseeing the documentation of recovery procedures and preparing for client service reviews.
  • Monitoring team performance, providing training, and addressing any issues in a fair and timely manner.
  • Managing high‑profile or contentious cases, ensuring quality standards are met and client outcomes are optimised.
  • Supporting financial targets by controlling the claim lifecycle and assisting with aged debt recovery.

About You:

  • Experience in motor claims handling within a legal, insurance, or claims management environment, including pre‑litigated claims.
  • Team management and people responsibility experience within a similar setting.
  • Proven experience working directly with clients, including hosting client meetings.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team to achieve high performance.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • A proactive and pragmatic approach, with the ability to think critically and solve problems effectively.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to build credibility and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • A flexible and adaptable mindset, with a willingness to accommodate unexpected situations.
