Overview
We are recruiting for a Property Loss Adjuster to join our team, based in Scotland.
As a Property Loss Adjuster, youâll manage a diverse portfolio of commercial and domestic property claims. From investigation to settlement, youâll play a key role in delivering exceptional service and ensuring claims are handled fairly and with integrity. How you\\\âll make an impact
- Investigate, manage, and report on a wide range of property claims.
- Handle claims from start to finish, including liaising with clients, policyholders, and other stakeholders.
- Assess policy cover, scope, and quantum, negotiate settlements, and pursue recoveries where necessary.
- Manage claims across various sectors, including Commercial & Domestic Property, Education, Heritage, Real Estate, and Public/Local Authorities.
- Ensure claims are handled fairly, professionally, and in line with company standards.
- Communicate effectively with senior management, team members, and principals to identify significant claims trends.
- Attend claims meetings, participate in audits, and travel as required.
- Comply with Gallagher Bassettâs procedures and deliver exceptional service.
About You
- Proven experience in investigating and handling property claims.
- Expertise in cradle-to-grave claims handling.
- CILA and/or CII qualifications (advantageous but not essential).
- Strong understanding of construction, mitigation, and liability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in scheduling works and collaborating with insurers, policyholders, and builders.
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients, carriers, and brokers.
- Solid technical knowledge and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
