In this role, you ll manage a caseload of litigated Employers Liability (EL) and Public Liability (PL) claims for our Public Sector clients. You ll handle cases from issue to trial, including small, fast, and multi-track claims. \n \n This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional with experience in EL/PL litigation and a passion for achieving the best outcomes for clients. \n \n \n \n This role is based from our Tamworth office on a hybrid basis and offers flexible working options .\n \n \n How you ll make an impact \n \n \n \n Defend litigated EL/PL claims on behalf of large corporates, managing cases from issue to trial. \n Handle small, fast, and multi-track claims, providing support to Partners when required. \n Assess liability, set and maintain reserves, and investigate the merits of third-party claims. \n Negotiate with third parties, insurers, and solicitors via phone and correspondence to achieve the best outcomes for clients. \n Apply the Civil Procedure Rules and relevant Authorities to secure optimal results. \n Ensure full compliance with office protocols, client service level agreements, and KPIs for all handled claims. \n Maintain 100% data integrity on the office case management system. \n Delegate and supervise appropriate tasks to Claims Administration Assistants. \n Act as a technical and procedural referral point for others in the litigation team. \n Ensure compliance with financial transactions in line with client service level agreements, KPIs, and the Solicitors Accounts Rules. \n \n About You \n \n \n \n You hold a Law degree and have completed the LPC. \n You have experience in EL/PL litigation and personal injury claims. \n You ve worked in defence claims handling, ideally within an insurer or TPA environment. \n You re self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently within a defined structure. \n You have strong communication skills and can work effectively with peers, managers, and clients. \n You re flexible and willing to accommodate unexpected situations, including working extra hours when required. \n Eligible to work in the UK. \n \n #LI-PH1 \n #LI-hybrid \n Compensation and benefits \n \n \n At Gallagher, we believe supporting our colleagues goes far beyond the role itself.
