Whether you're managing claims, supporting clients, or improving processes, you’ll play a vital role in helping businesses and individuals move forward with confidence. n \n As a Casualty Defence Claims Handler , you'll take ownership of your own caseload of pre-litigated Employers' Liability and Public Liability claims. n \n This is a hybrid role , which can be based from either our Tamworth or Blisworth office, offering flexibility alongside the opportunity to work closely with an experienced and supportive team. \n \n \n \n How you'll make an impact \n \n \n In this role, you'll manage a diverse portfolio of claims, conducting thorough investigations and working closely with clients and stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes. \n \n Managing a portfolio of EL/PL claims from first notification to settlement, ensuring compliance with service level agreements. \n Setting up and acknowledging new claims promptly, while maintaining clear communication with clients throughout the process. \n Conducting detailed liability investigations, gathering evidence such as statements, inspection records, and training documents. \n Liaising with insured clients, brokers, witnesses, medical professionals, and third parties to progress claims efficiently. \n Negotiating settlements with claimants, representatives, insurers, and legal firms to achieve fair and commercially sound outcomes. \n Assessing quantum using Judicial College Guidelines, medical evidence, and relevant case law. \n Identifying potential fraud indicators and escalating cases appropriately. \n Ensuring compliance with Pre-Action Protocols for Low Value and Standard EL/PL Claims. \n Supporting Claims Managers and the Defence Operations Manager as needed. \n \n About You \n \n \n \n Previous experience handling EL/PL claims within an insurer, TPA, law firm, or defence environment. \n Flexibility to adapt to unexpected situations, including working additional hours when necessary. \n \n #LI-PH1 \n Compensation and benefits \n \n \n At Gallagher, we believe supporting our colleagues goes far beyond the role itself. n \n Competitive compensation \n Comprehensive benefits programs designed to support your well-being \n Career development opportunities and ongoing learning \n A collaborative, people-first culture with accessible leadership \n The opportunity to do meaningful work with global reach and local impact \n \n At Gallagher, we are dedicated to building an inclusive and authentic workplace.
