Join Gallagher Bassett at our Ipswich Waterfront Offices as a Trainee Travel Claims Handler. This is a full-time, office-based role where youâll receive comprehensive training to build your career in insurance. Youâll learn how to handle a variety of travel insurance claims, from lost luggage to medical expenses, while providing exceptional support to customers during challenging times.
How youâll make an impact:
- Assist with processing travel insurance claims by reviewing documents, assessing coverage, and determining claim outcomes.
- Communicate with customers via phone and email to gather information, provide updates, and address concerns.
- Work closely with team members to ensure claims are processed efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain accurate records of claims and related activities.
Your work will help customers navigate stressful situations with confidence and clarity, making a real difference in their lives.
About You:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail to review and assess claim documentation accurately.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills to evaluate claim validity and coverage.
- Empathy and composure when supporting customers in potentially stressful situations.
- A customer-focused mindset to deliver a positive experience throughout the claims process.
- Computer literacy and confidence using technology.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
- Some claims experience or a degree in Law would be advantageous.
- No previous experience is required as full training will be provided.
