Strata Solicitors, the in-house law firm of Gallagher Bassett, is hiring a qualified Solicitor to join its Litigation team in Tamworth, England, UK. The role entails managing an individual caseload of litigated defendant motor claims on behalf of self-insured corporate and insurer clients, as well as providing technical supervision and guidance to junior team members.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Professional Qualification: Must be a Qualified Solicitor.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience in defence claims handling within an insurer or Third-Party Administrator (TPA) environment.
• Right to Work: Must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
• Core Competencies: Self-motivated with strong initiative, excellent communication skills, and collaborative abilities.
• Work Arrangement: Willingness to work on-site in Tamworth during probation, moving to a hybrid arrangement (3 days in office, 2 days remote, with Fridays as designated team office days).

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Defend litigated motor claims (personal injury, property damage, credit hire, LVI, and fraud) from issuance through to trial.
• Assess liability and manage reserves in compliance with client service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Investigate third-party claims and conduct negotiations with insurers, solicitors, and key stakeholders.
• Value general and special damages in accordance with Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and relevant legal authorities.
• Supervise, delegate to, and act as a technical referral point for Claims Administration Assistants.
• Maintain adherence to Solicitors Accounts Rules for all financial transactions.
