The Opportunity

We're looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth across the UK market.

This is a commercially focused role centred on identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities while building strong relationships with enterprise end users and key supply chains across industry influencers across key vertical markets.

This is a true business development role.

You'll be responsible for creating demand, building pipeline, and delivering profitable growth by developing strategic customer relationships and uncovering new opportunities.

Working closely with Sales Managers, Solution Managers, and technical specialists, you'll take opportunities from initial engagement through to successful close.

Your Role At a Glance

  • Develop and execute business growth strategies that support regional sales objectives.
  • Analyse industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to inform business growth strategies.
  • Identify, qualify, nurture, and close profitable opportunities across targeted vertical markets.
  • Build relationships with enterprise end users, consultants, and key industry influencers.
  • Drive new business development while expanding existing strategic customer relationships.
  • Lead customer presentations and solution discussions with support from technical specialists.
  • Support RFIs, RFQs, tenders, and customer solution requirements.
  • Analyse market and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities and market trends.
  • Maintain strong CRM discipline, forecasting, reporting, and account planning.

About You

We’re looking for a sales professional who thrives on winning new business and building trusted customer relationships.

You'll be commercially focused, motivated by results, and comfortable working in a technical B2B environment where insight, credibility, and persistence drive success.

  • At least 5 years’ proven B2B sales experience, ideally within technology, security, or a related solutions-led environment
  • Strong business development experience with a track record of prospecting, generating leads, and closing opportunities.

  • Solution-selling capability and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Commercial confidence, including negotiation, forecasting, pipeline management, and account planning.
