We are seeking an interim Subject Librarian to support academic library services by providing professional front line services, resolving enquiries and maintaining a welcoming, safe study environment to ensure high-quality student support.

You will ensure that library collections remain relevant and accessible through effective selection, acquisition, and management of resources, including reading lists and digital materials. You will also deliver engaging inductions, research skills teaching, and one to one guidance to develop students’ academic confidence and information literacy.

To be successful, you should have experience in the use of library management systems and a flexible, can-do attitude with the ability to work across different teams. This is a fixed term contract to cover paternity leave and a secondment, so we anticipate it will be for approximately 8-months from June 2026 to January 2027.
