Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a programme of strategic projects across the university, ensuring planning, delivery and risk management of high‑risk, institutional‑wide initiatives.
  • Negotiate and coordinate complex inter‑dependencies within the strategic portfolio, managing stakeholders at board and executive levels.
  • Deliver multi‑million‑pound projects (often > £1.5million) and maintain budgets of £1million or greater.
  • Support the end‑to‑end project lifecycle from initiation through to delivery, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a senior communicator and stakeholder manager, presenting to academics and senior leadership with diplomacy and persuasive influence.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in managing enterprise‑level projects, including budgets exceeding £1million.
  • Experience leading complex, cross‑institutional programmes and delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
  • Diplomatic, persuasive and credible approach when interacting with senior academics and executives.
