About the role: The Resort has a number of bedrooms including suites, deluxe and superior rooms. We also have self-accommodation in the form of riverside cabins, cottage suites, and shepherd's huts set on the grounds as well as our private residencies Red Oaks, Charles Lanyon Lodge, and Linen Merchants. As Housekeeping Assistant, you will join a dedicated hard-working team and ensure all hotel accommodation is clean and tidy and ready for our guests.
Main duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Cleaning and servicing the Resort as directed by Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Manager
- Complete tasks such as making beds, changing linens, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures plus a variety of other cleaning tasks.
- Using disinfectants and steam-operated sterilizers.
- Adhering to all safety and personal protective equipment, practices, and procedures.
- Working within the guidelines of Health, Safety, Fire, and Hygiene operatives to ensure all staff and guests are safe at all times.
- Maintaining clear, efficient communication with the front desk team ensuring rooms and public areas are serviced in a timely fashion ready for our hotel guests.
We would love for you to have some similar previous experience but this is not essential as full training will be provided. We welcome applications from people with general cleaning experience or transferrable skills. Must have excellent attention to detail. Previous hospitality experience (desirable). Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience (desirable). Work well under pressure and be an excellent team player.
