As a Food & Beverage Assistant in The Conservatory, your main job will be to welcome and serve all our guests ensuring they enjoy their dining experience. Working closely with chefs to ensure excellent knowledge of menus and of our handcrafted desserts and patisserie items available as part of Afternoon Tea. Also working closely with bar persons to ensure a full knowledge of drinks offerings including our extensive gin selection available in the adjoining Gin Library.

All of our Food and Beverage Managers & Supervisors started as F&B Assistants at one time so we always offer the opportunity to progress. You will be encouraged to improve and maximise your potential and we will support you along the way.

Welcoming all guests to the restaurant in a friendly, polite manner.

With training, have full and complete knowledge of all food/beverage and wine menus enabling you to help with any guest queries.

Present menus, take orders, and serve food and beverage professionally and efficiently ensuring our guests have everything they need.

Cleaning and resetting tables and keeping all areas of the restaurant neat and tidy.

Using the restaurant till systems to place orders and process customer payments correctly.

Carrying out daily duties as required by the restaurant management team.

Directing any guest complaints to the Restaurant Manager.

Ensuring that your knowledge of the Resort and facilities is up to date in order to upsell to guests if the opportunity arises.

Make sure your personal appearance and uniform are in line with the required Resort standards at all times.

Observe all Company and Statutory Fire, Health, Safety, and Hygiene Regulations.

Attend any training that has been set up to aid your personal development.

Have at least 1-year of previous waiting experience.

Have a passion for the hospitality industry, great food, and great service.

Be an excellent team player with a positive and friendly attitude.

Have a flexible approach to working shift patterns and be available to work mornings, daytimes, and weekends.

Have strong communication skills and be able to multi-task.
