HOURS: FULL TIME (Approx. 25 Hours per week) Typical shifts 7AM - 1.30PM, 3.30PM - 10PM, OCCASIONAL 3.30PM - 12AM - Monday - Friday availability essential, with the possibility of weekend days depending on business needs.

About the role: As a Public Area Cleaner at Roe Valley Resort, you'll be part of a dedicated and hardworking team, ensuring every public space - from our restaurants and bars to function rooms, reception, and front-of-house areas - is spotless, welcoming, and ready for our guests to enjoy. You'll also support our laundry team, helping to maintain the high standards of cleanliness and presentation that our resort is known for. This role also includes a guest services element, where you'll assist guests with their needs - whether that's delivering ice to their room or lending a hand with their luggage - helping to create a warm and memorable experience for everyone who stays with us. We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, great teamwork skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Main duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Cleaning and servicing the Resort as directed by Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Manager.
- Complete tasks such as making beds, changing linens, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures plus a variety of other cleaning tasks.
- Using disinfectants and steam-operated sterilizers.
- Adhering to all safety and personal protective equipment, practices, and procedures.
- Working within the guidelines of Health, Safety, Fire, and Hygiene operatives to ensure all staff and guests are safe at all times.
- Maintaining clear, efficient communication with the front desk team ensuring rooms and public areas are serviced in a timely fashion ready for our hotel guests.
- Helping our laundry department with what they need - Folding, pressing etc.
- Have a keen interest in delivering exceptional customer service.
- Have strong teamwork skills.
- Possess sound knowledge of the Resort & local area.
We would love for you to have some similar previous experience but this is not essential as full training will be provided. We welcome applications from people with general cleaning experience or transferrable skills.
Applicant Criteria:
- Must have excellent attention to detail.
- Previous hospitality experience (desirable).
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience (desirable).
- Work well under pressure and be an excellent team player.
- Have previously worked in a customer service role.
