As a Leisure Receptionist/Attendant, you will focus on maintaining the Spa front‑of‑house systems and procedures, maximising sales, and ensuring high customer service standards are always maintained as well as making sure the changing areas are clean, stocked, and tidy for the arrival of our Spa guests. Job Description
- Reception & Administration
- Managing bookings and reservations through the Leisure and Spa booking systems ensuring accuracy at all times.
- Welcoming guests and members to the Leisure Club and Spa in a friendly and professional manner.
- Dealing with guest queries and ensuring the guest experience is seamless from arrival to departure.
- Handling all client enquiries via phone, email, online platforms, and face‑to‑face.
- Processing payments, producing invoices, and handling monies accurately.
- Maintaining a strong knowledge of all resort services, facilities, treatments, and activities in order to assist guests effectively.
- Identifying and maximising sales opportunities, including spa treatments, memberships, and retail products.
- Supporting the promotion of leisure and spa services where appropriate.
- Leisure Attendant Duties
- Assisting with the smooth running of the Leisure facilities during each shift.
- Ensuring changing areas, spa reception areas, and leisure spaces are clean, stocked, safe, and well presented at all times.
- Carrying out routine cleaning, tidying, and replenishment duties across leisure and spa areas as required.
- Assisting spa guests throughout their journey, including directing or escorting guests to treatment areas where required.
- Supporting the preparation of laundry, robes, towels, and changing facilities for guest use.
- Monitoring and maintaining the presentation and cleanliness of leisure areas throughout the day.
- Guest Experience & Retail
- Promoting and assisting with the sale of retail products available within the spa and leisure areas.
- Providing basic product knowledge to guests and assisting with retail enquiries.
- Supporting the team in delivering a high‑quality leisure and spa experience for all visitors.
- Facilities & Supervision
- Assisting in the supervision and safe operation of leisure facilities, including family and recreational areas such as the children’s arcade where required.
- Supporting the team in managing guest flow within the leisure areas to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests and members.
- Ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed and that any issues are reported promptly.
- Team Support
- Working closely with the Leisure, treatments and wider Resort teams to support daily operations.
- Carrying out front and back‑of‑house procedures as per the daily checklists.
- Assisting with general operational duties as required to support the smooth running of the department.
- Undertaking additional duties as reasonably requested by management.
The Person
Essential Criteria
- At least 6 months’ experience working in a dynamic, environment in a customer‑facing role.
- Proven experience of multi‑tasking various job duties in a fast paced environment.
- A good customer service background.
- Confident administrative and IT skills to include word and excel.
- Have a keen interest in beauty, fitness, or the well‑being industry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Warm, friendly, and energetic with great pride in your overall appearance.
- A flexible work approach and be available to work weekdays and weekends.
- Experience or an interest in the hospitality industry.
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience working as a Receptionist.
