JOB TITLE: Leaping Hound – Restaurant Manager – Roe Valley Resort

JOB REFERENCE: RSFB 09/26

REPORTING TO: General Manager

HOURS: Full-time, varied shifts primarily, 5 days out of 7, including weekends

JOB LOCATION: Roe Valley Resort, Limavady

SALARY: £34,000 - £40,000

About the role:

We are seeking to recruit a dedicated, enthusiastic restaurant manager to join our Leaping Hound team. You will join an existing team of managers and assist in all day-to-day operational issues relating to the food & beverage service within the Leaping Hound.

Job Description:

The main duties will include but are not limited to;

  • Consistently provide a friendly and efficient service to all visiting guests.
  • Having full and complete knowledge of the menu, enabling you to assist with any guest or customer queries.
  • Supervising the F&B team ensuring that all are well trained and daily duties are clearly outlined.
  • Demonstrating effective communication skills and working in a professional manner with all customers and colleagues.
  • Monitoring team members to ensure all Company and Statutory Fire, Health, Safety, and Hygiene Regulations are observed.
  • Participating in regular team meetings.
  • Reporting any guest or operational issues to the Management team.
  • Using the restaurant till systems to place orders and process customer payments correctly.
  • Carrying out opening and closing procedures, including till reconciliations and otherkey holder duties.
  • Ensuring knowledge of the Galgorm Collection and facilities is up to date in order to upsell at every opportunity and maximise profitability.
  • Making sure your personal appearance and uniform are in line with the required Collection/ Restaurant standards at all times.
  • Attending any training that has been set up to aid your personal development.

The Person:

Applicants must:

  • Have a passion for hospitality.
  • Have at least 1 year’s supervisory experience in a café/restaurant and/or bar (Essential).
  • Have experience incarrying out opening and closing procedures of a café/restaurant and or bar including till reconciliations and otherkey holder duties. (Essential).
  • Experience in cocktail making.
  • Barista trained.
  • Be able to demonstrate an ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team.
  • Have exemplary attention to detail.
  • Be performance-driven and focused on implementing a culture of excellent customer service.
  • Excellent planning and organisation abilities.Be able to work well while under pressure and show initiative whilst multi-tasking.
  • Have a flexible approach to working shift patterns and be available to work early mornings, lunchtime, evening shifts, and weekends.
