REPORTING TO: Restaurant Manager

HOURS: Permanent, full-time position. Breakfast morning shifts. Availability to work predominantly Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to work occasional weekends as required.

SALARY: Payscale ranging from £12.71 - £14.21 per hour.

About the role:

As Food & Beverage Assistant, your main job will be to welcome and serve all our guests ensuring they enjoy their dining experience. We encourage everyone to bring their own personality and passion to work every day. All of our Food and Beverage Managers & Supervisors started as F&B Assistants at one time so we always offer the opportunity to progress. You will be encouraged to improve and maximise your potential and we will support you along the way. Job Description:

  • Welcoming all guests to the restaurant in a friendly, polite manner.
  • With training, have full and complete knowledge of all food/beverage and menus enabling you to help with any guest queries.
  • Cleaning and resetting tables and keeping all areas of the restaurant neat and tidy.
  • Using the restaurant till systems to place orders.
  • Carrying out daily duties as required by the restaurant management team.
  • Directing any guest complaints to the Restaurant Manager.
  • Ensuring that your knowledge of the Resort and facilities is up to date in order to upsell to guests if the opportunity arises.
  • Making sure your personal appearance and uniform are in line with the required Resort standards at all times.
  • Observe all Company and Statutory Fire, Health, Safety, and Hygiene Regulations.
  • Attend any training that has been set up to aid your personal development.

The Person:

Applicant must:

  • Have a passion for the hospitality industry, great food, and great service.
  • Have at least 1 year of previous waiting experience.
  • Be an excellent team player with a positive and friendly attitude.
  • Have a flexible approach to working shift patterns and be available to work weekends.
  • Have strong communication skills and be able to multi-task.
  • Have a sense of pride in the delivery of high standards of presentation and the Galgorm Collection brand.

Desirable:

  • Barista trained
