JOB REFERENCE: EHM 08/25

REPORTING TO: Resort Operations Associate Director

HOURS: Full Time, 5 days per week, roughly 9-hour shifts e.g. 8am – 4pm, including weekends.

SALARY: 36K- 40K per annum

About the role:

We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for an Executive Housekeeping Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will manage the Housekeeping and Laundry departments at the Resort, ensuring the quality is continuously upheld to an exceptional standard.

About The Role

The main responsibilities for this job include but are not limited to;

Managing all Housekeeping and Laundry Operations.

Operating within departmental budgets through effective stocks, cost controls, and well-managed schedules.

Dealing with lost property records, storage, and guest enquiries in a timely fashion.

Regularly inspecting all fixtures, fittings, and appliances to ensure compliance with standards and take action as necessary.

Monitoring the appearance, standards, and performance of the Housekeeping and Laundry departments.

Ensuring adequate staffing levels to cover business demands.

Ensuring staff communication meetings are conducted regularly.

Managing staff performance issues in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Assist Human Resources to recruit new team members and retain staff.

Recruiting, managing, training, and developing staff within the Housekeeping and Laundry departments.

Ensuring the quality and standard of the bedrooms, cottages, cabins, and public areas are continuously upheld and improved to an exceptional standard.

Ensuring daily and weekly checklists are completed and the standard of work completed is exceptional.

Conduct Housekeeping and Laundry staff appraisals.

Identifying and promoting solutions to the Hotel Operations Manager.

Demonstrating compliance with an interest in Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Keeping up with industry trends.

Exhibiting a strong focus on the customer and on the quality of service.

Being proficient in the use of Maestro, PMS, Hotsos maintenance, and Backstage.

Assisting in other departments wherever necessary.

Applicants must;

A minimum of 3 years experience in a senior management position within a hotel.

Experience working within revenue and wage budgets, completing forecasts and staff rotas.

Be able to demonstrate an ability to lead, motivate and inspire a large team.

Be performance-driven and focused on implementing a culture of excellent customer service.

High level of commercial awareness and cost control capabilities.

Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and have excellent IT skills.

Strong organisational, budget management, and problem-solving skills.
