Head of Finance in London

We're looking for a world‐class Head of Finance to lead our finance function and help take the business through its next stage of growth. You'll work directly with the MD and board, manage a small but capable team, and take ownership of everything from factory‐floor reporting to high‐level financial strategy. This is a senior leadership role with a clear path to becoming Finance Director. It's perfect for someone who wants to build, improve, and lead with impact.

What you'll be responsible for:

• You'll be at the heart of our growth, making sure the numbers drive the decisions—and the business stays sharp.
• You'll lead the entire finance function, covering operational finance in manufacturing as well as AP, AR, FP&A and cashflow across the group.
• You'll manage and support a tight team of three: an AP lead, an AR lead, and a Finance Manager.
• You'll be the key finance partner to the MD and senior leadership team, helping guide decisions, improve performance and prepare the business for future scale—and potential sale.
• You'll ensure the numbers are right, the controls are tight, and the reporting is useful, timely and commercial.
• You'll own budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning and margin analysis, ensuring we stay profitable as we grow.
• You'll lead audits, compliance and tax processes, and make sure we're fit for purpose as a £multi‐million food business.
• You'll also shape the future of our finance systems—working with Sage 200 and helping build out a best‐in‐class ERP and tech stack that works for a modern manufacturing business. Experience with Katana or similar tools is a real bonus.

What we're looking for:

• This isn't your average FC gig. We need someone who's walked the walk—experienced enough to lead, but hands‐on enough to get stuck in.
• You've already been a Financial Controller or Head of Finance in a fast‐moving business, ideally within food or manufacturing.
• You understand the challenges of multi‐site, high‐volume operations—and how to build financial processes that support them.
• You're just as comfortable with a spreadsheet as you are presenting to the board. You can dig into details, but also zoom out and think strategically.
• You lead teams with clarity and warmth. You support your people, raise standards, and make them better.
• You're systems‐savvy and excited to help us build a modern finance stack that scales with the business.

• £100,000 base salary + performance bonus.
