GALENT are recruiting for a Financial Controller opportunity for an experienced qualified accountant seeking to join a rapidly growing, asset-backed business based in Peterborough. They will accept UK wide applications and offer weekday accommodation. This position would suit individuals with experience gained within infrastructure, construction, engineering, utilities, manufacturing, project-led organisations or other complex commercial environments. Our client is a rapidly growing, PE-backed renewable energy platform that develops, builds, owns and operates biomethane waste-to-energy facilities across the UK. Following significant investment and continued growth, they are seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to play a key role in strengthening the finance function and supporting the next phase of expansion. This is a highly visible position working closely with senior leadership and operational teams within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the month-end reporting process and producing accurate management accounts
  • Developing and enhancing financial controls, governance and reporting frameworks
  • Managing budgeting, forecasting and cashflow reporting
  • Supporting statutory reporting, audit processes and technical accounting matters
  • Overseeing fixed asset accounting, project accounting and capital expenditure reporting
