GALENT are recruiting for a Finance Director opportunity suitable for an experienced, hands on finance leader within a rapidly scaling technology business based in Central London. This founder led business has more than doubled its revenue over the past year and has ambitious plans for continued growth. It is now investing in its in house finance capability to support the next stage of its development. This is a newly created position offering a salary of £90,000 plus benefits. The role operates on a hybrid basis, typically requiring two office days per week, with flexibility available. The office is conveniently located between London Waterloo and London Bridge.

You will:
- Take ownership of the monthly management accounts process and bring management accounting fully in house
- Manage month end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and reporting accuracy
- Improve finance systems, Excel models and accounting processes
- Support the application of IFRS 15 revenue recognition principles
- Develop robust cost to complete processes for project accounting
- Partner with operational and project teams to improve financial reporting and business performance
- Work alongside external accountants on statutory accounts, tax matters and year end processes
- Report across services, products and recurring licence based revenue streams
- Improve financial controls and build scalable finance processes
- Provide commercial insight and support decision making across the founders and senior leadership team
- Help shape the future finance capability as the business continues to grow
The ideal Finance Director will possess the following attributes and skills:
- Experience operating autonomously without a large finance team
- A strong track record of improving reporting, systems and financial processes during periods of growth
- A hands on approach and willingness to remain close to the detail
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to communicate effectively with finance and non finance stakeholders
- A pragmatic, solutions focused approach
- The confidence to influence senior stakeholders and commercial decisions
- A genuine interest in building and developing a finance function
- Experience within technology, services, project based or mixed revenue businesses would be advantageous, particularly where IFRS 15 has been applied
