GALENT are recruiting for a Finance Assistant opportunity suitable for an up-and-coming finance professional within the media and digital sector, based in London. This role is a key position within the Commercial and International Finance team, supporting the Digital and IP function. The successful candidate will assist with the accurate processing of digital revenues, royalties, and financial reporting, while working closely with senior finance stakeholders and shared services teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Processing actuals for digital revenue and ensuring signed contracts and statements are received
- Recording sales, retransmission income, format fees, and royalties in SAP and internal systems
- Reviewing and processing monthly interdivisional royalties
- Posting accrual journals and completing monthly reconciliations
- Raising purchase orders and monitoring invoices through to payment
- Preparing and issuing invoices in line with contractual terms
- Supporting intercompany reconciliations and shared service centre queries
- Responding to queries from territories and income providers
- Preparing simple and ad hoc business analysis and reports
- Assisting during budgeting and forecasting periods
- Supporting audit queries and documentation
- Completing general administrative and ad hoc finance tasks
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement
The Ideal Candidate
- Good understanding of accounting principles, ideally with a degree or relevant qualification
- 1–3 years’ experience in a finance or accounting environment (including placement years)
- Strong Excel skills
- Interest in the media and digital sector
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Proactive and self-motivated approach
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Desire to study towards AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or ACA
- SAP or systems experience (desirable)
