What you'll do
- Lead the design and engineering of building enclosure systems, including walls, roofs, and fenestration, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Conduct thorough analyses of building envelope performance, focusing on thermal, moisture, and air barrier systems to optimize energy efficiency.
- Collaborate with architects and project managers to develop design solutions that meet project specifications and client needs.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, and reports, to support project delivery and compliance.
- Participate in site visits and inspections to assess the installation of building enclosure systems, ensuring adherence to design intent and quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and interns, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.
- Engage in project management activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation, to ensure timely and successful project completion.
- Stay current with industry trends, materials, and technologies related to building enclosures, applying this knowledge to enhance project outcomes.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in building enclosure design and engineering, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and energy modeling software.
- In-depth knowledge of building codes, standards, and best practices related to building enclosures.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct performance assessments and simulations of building envelope systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
