What you'll do

  • Lead the design and execution of architectural projects from conception through completion, ensuring alignment with client specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, contractors, and clients, to develop comprehensive project plans and schedules.
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to inform design decisions and identify potential challenges early in the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and present project proposals, including design concepts, budgets, and timelines, to stakeholders and clients.
  • Utilize advanced software tools for drafting, modeling, and project management to create detailed architectural plans and documentation.
  • Oversee project budgets and financial performance, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage project timelines, ensuring that all milestones are met and that any delays are communicated promptly to stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address any issues that arise, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Facilitate communication between all parties involved in the project, including clients, team members, and external vendors, to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance project outcomes and drive innovation within the team.
  • Assist in the preparation of grant applications and proposals for funding opportunities related to architectural projects.
  • Contribute to the development of internal processes and best practices to improve project delivery and client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in project engineering or architectural design.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp, as well as project management tools.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about design challenges.
  • Experience with sustainable design practices and green building certifications is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.
  • Professional licensure as a registered architect or engineer.
  • Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile or Lean.
  • Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and tools.
  • Previous experience in a client-facing role, with a strong customer service orientation.
