A global design and technology studio is looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to sit alongside their existing tech lead, own end-to-end technical delivery across a varied client portfolio, and be a genuine presence not just in the codebase, but in client conversations and technical planning.

This is a remote-first, global design and technology company with a presence in London, New York, Perth, and Sofia. They work at the intersection of brand strategy, experience design, and engineering, taking ambitious ideas to market for the organisations building what comes next. The client list spans global enterprises to early-stage start-ups across fintech, healthtech, social impact ventures and many more verticals. The work ranges from brand and identity through to complex digital platforms with multiple awards and decade-long client partnerships under their belt.

The studio has a strong technical foundation, their existing tech lead runs the development function and sets a high bar, but the team is at capacity, and there's a clear need for a second senior developer who can genuinely share the load, not just execute tasks. Day to day you'll sit within a cross-functional delivery team alongside designers and project managers, and you'll be the primary technical contact on your projects with clients, not just internally. That means turning up to client calls ready to present solutions clearly, estimate accurately, ask the right questions early, and translate complex technical decisions into plain language without losing the nuance.

On the build side, the stack is primarily JavaScript/Next.js on the front end and Node.js or PHP on the back, with strong headless CMS experience expected across both. You'll work with REST and GraphQL APIs, Git workflows, CI/CD, and cloud services across AWS, GCP, or Azure. If you've used AI tooling (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) to accelerate delivery without cutting corners on quality, that's genuinely valued here too.

What you'll be doing:

  • Taking technical ownership of projects from discovery through to deployment: architecture, build, integrations, and the decisions in between.
  • Acting as the primary technical contact with clients on your projects: leading discovery conversations, presenting solutions, estimating accurately, and contributing to delivery planning alongside the PM.
  • Working closely with designers to execute creative concepts to spec. You care about design fidelity, motion detail, and visual consistency, not just functional correctness.
  • Building and maintaining scalable back-end solutions and integrating third-party APIs and services, with a consistent eye on accessibility, security, and performance.
  • Contributing input on frameworks, tooling, and approach, helping shape technical direction at a studio level alongside the Lead.
  • Staying genuinely curious about what's next in the development landscape and bringing that energy into the team.

What we're looking for:

  • 6+ years of full-stack development experience, with solid fundamentals across front and back end.
  • Strong with Node.js or PHP on the back end, and confident across HTML, CSS/SCSS/Tailwind, JavaScript/TypeScript, and React/Next.js on the front.
  • Experience with headless CMS ecosystems, REST and GraphQL APIs, GIT workflows, CI/CD, and cloud services.
  • A background in an agency, consultancy, or studio environment (Client-facing experience is essential).
  • The ability to communicate with confidence in ambiguous, fast-moving project environments.
  • Based in the UK and set up to work fully remotely with autonomy and ownership.

What's in it for you:

  • Up to £60,000 base salary depending on experience.
  • Fully remote. Work from wherever you work best (In the UK).
  • 25+ Days Paid Holiday.
