This is an exciting opportunity to join Galderma as Manager of UK IT Sites, based from our new London office. In this key role, you will lead and oversee IT services for our local UK affiliate and our new global entity, acting as the primary technology partner for the London site. You will work closely with local business leaders and our Regional and Global IT teams to ensure technology effectively supports business growth, operational efficiency and innovation. As the key link between the London business and Global IT, you will help translate business needs into effective technology solutions, drive local IT initiatives and ensure the successful delivery of reliable, secure and high-quality IT services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management: Provide input to and drive the business-aligned execution of IT strategies in line with corporate objectives and standards. Lead and mentor a local IT support team (Field Service Engineer/s), ensuring operational excellence, continuous improvement, and alignment with global IT policies. Ensure delivery of services through global infrastructure teams and third-party vendors in line with agreed SLAs. Act as a business partner to local leadership, ensuring IT solutions address business needs effectively and efficiently. Lead the local IT team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and alignment with Global IT objectives. Act as the primary point of contact for local management and leadership, ensuring high-quality IT services and proactive communication.
  • IT Operations and Support: Ensure reliable and secure IT operations by orchestrating Global IT support, infrastructure services, and external providers. Oversee end-user support services with a strong focus on user experience, business continuity, and service quality. Ensure appropriate prioritization and resolution of issues in alignment with business needs and agreed service levels. Work closely with global teams to implement Global IT initiatives locally. Advise local business leaders on technology-related decisions, ensuring solutions are aligned with enterprise standards, scalable, and fit for purpose to support business growth.
  • Project Management: Drive and oversee local IT initiatives and projects that enable business growth and operational efficiency. Evaluate and recommend solutions to improve service performance, scalability, and security. Support global and regional application deployments from a local enablement perspective.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure IT services and operations comply with corporate security standards, policies, and regulatory requirements. Promote security best practices across the local organization, including user awareness initiatives. Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions to address potential vulnerabilities. Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure resilience against major disruptions.
  • Financial Management: Monitor and control the local IT budget, ensuring alignment with corporate directives. Identify and implement cost optimization opportunities without compromising service quality.
  • Communication and Business Partnership: Develop strong, trusting relationships with local business leaders to understand their needs and align IT services accordingly. Ensure that business requirements are effectively translated into Global IT solutions and that Global IT capabilities are clearly communicated to local stakeholders. Regularly communicate the status of IT operations, projects, and key initiatives to local and regional stakeholders. Collaborate with Global IT teams to shape and execute long-term IT strategies tailored to UK business needs aligned with the Regional IT EMEAC Head.
  • Training and Best Practices: Provide guidance and training to staff on IT processes, systems, and security. Promote the adoption of Global IT best practices to increase operational efficiency.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience: 5–10 years in IT (infrastructure) and support roles, including leadership positions. Broad understanding of IT services, systems, and enterprise environments. Proven experience working with global teams and managing third-party service providers. Strong communication skills to engage with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors. Solid project management skills with a focus on enabling stable and business-aligned IT services. Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.
