Job Scope
- Be a strategic finance leader partnering closely with GPS and R&D Leadership Teams
- Drive financial excellence across our innovation pipeline, product launches, strategic investments, and operational spending
- Ensure optimal resource allocation, financial discipline, and value creation throughout the product lifecycle while aligning financial strategies with the Mid-Range Plan (MRP) and shareholder expectations
- Oversee business case development, pipeline valuation, post-launch performance tracking, and financial governance for Innovation Steering Committees
- Work cross-functionally with senior stakeholders in GPS, R&D, Corporate Development, and regional finance teams, ensuring financial strategy aligns with both commercial and innovation priorities
Key Responsibilities
- GPS Finance: Act as the finance business partner to GPS leadership, ensuring financial rigor in new product launches, marketing investments, and geographic/product prioritization
- GPS Finance: Own new product launch financials from pre-launch business case validation to post-launch performance tracking and ROI analysis
- GPS Finance: Ensure GPS product strategy aligns with the Mid-Range Plan (MRP), integrating geographic expansion and product prioritization decisions
- GPS Finance: Develop and implement Marketing Investment Effectiveness metrics to optimize spending and ROI
- GPS Finance: Oversee business case submissions for key governance committees
- R&D & Business Development Finance: Partner with R&D leadership to establish comprehensive pipeline valuation frameworks that maximize long-term value
- R&D & Business Development Finance: Drive study efficiency and resource allocation, ensuring R&D investments are optimized for cost-effectiveness and impact
- R&D & Business Development Finance: Support Business Development finance, leading valuation models, due diligence, and scenario planning for M&A, licensing, and partnerships
- R&D & Business Development Finance: Provide financial guidance for prioritization of R&D investments and resource deployment
- Business Case & Portfolio Management: Transform the Innovation Business Case Process to establish controlled and efficient business case sign-off procedures, centralized repository management, robust post-launch performance tracking systems, seamless MRP integration, and AI-driven process automation opportunities
- Business Case & Portfolio Management: Ensure all approved business cases are integrated into financial planning cycles (MRP, LO)
- Business Case & Portfolio Management: Define revenue sensitivity models (commercial vs. technical), ensuring a realistic risk-adjusted approach to forecasting
