Job Scope:

For this purpose, the Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) is a key internal expert, providing field-based scientific and clinical support to healthcare professionals to maintain a high level of medical, scientific and technical knowledge and expertise in relation to Dermatology and/or Aesthetics.
The MSL develops and maintains professional relationships with internal and external customers both physicians and extenders to provide comprehensive medical and scientific education support to Galderma initiatives in assigned areas of interest. The MSL will focus on providing healthcare practitioners, clinical investigators, professional organisations and patient organisations the opportunity for scientific exchange and gathering insights in order to provide medical, scientific and education support for prioritised services and products within Galderma's portfolio.
Major Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Provide scientific and technical support for field-based sales force, behaving as a credible partner to support their immediate needs through non-promotional trainings, education, presentations, and other engagement.
- Develop and maintain professional and trustful relationships with key opinion/thought leaders (KOLs/KTLs) and academic centres to ensure access to current medical and scientific information on areas of therapeutic interest.
- Develop, maintain and share internally and externally an in-depth knowledge of Dermatology/Skin disorders.
- Develop and implement effective educational messaging to increase scientific awareness and advocacy of Galderma Integrated Dermatology products and services including GAIN injector training among healthcare providers in the field (Aesthetics).
- Deliver credible scientific and medical presentations to physicians, healthcare providers and other stakeholders as needed.
- Identify, develop and maintain contact with local, regional and national key opinion leaders and experts through internally approved field engagement plans.
- Contribute to identify physicians, investigators, healthcare providers and administrative stakeholders requiring support from medical scientific liaison and with the aim to increase the diversity profiles of our KOLs/KTLs, HCPs so that we better meet the needs of every skin story.
- As appropriate and needed; produce, review, and update scientifically internally approved presentations for assigned therapeutic areas.
- Provide field-based support to assist Medical Information in dealing with enquiries.
- Maintain knowledge and awareness of clinical research and publications in the Dermatology and/or Aesthetics fields.
- Act as an internal scientific expert for Galderma integrated dermatology products and areas of interest, bringing the science to life for internal and external audiences, including training external speakers on content for promotional events, sales force training and at advisory boards when needed.
- Gather and generate actionable insights through attending congresses, engaging with external stakeholders, staying current in relevant scientific literature, tracking influencers on social media, preparing summaries, and presenting key perspectives to Galderma teams including competitor analyses.
- Support Galderma research by identifying investigators, undertaking scientific exchange and providing feedback and insight to medical and clinical teams.
- Respond to unsolicited requests for medical and scientific information.
- Utilise modern technology platforms to maximise efficiency and effectiveness and limit travel requirements.
- Ensure the integrity of the scientific data used in promotional claims and materials, if requested.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures including but not limited to Code of Conduct, fleet, IT and confidentiality.
- Other reasonable or ad hoc duties requested by management that are aligned to the role.
Job Requirements & Background:
- Medical, Pharmacy or higher degree qualification (e.g. MSc, PhD) in a relevant life sciences field.
- Dermatology/Aesthetics/Immunology-Biologics (desirable).
- Proven several years related medical and/or research and development experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices industry (desirable).
- Demonstrable experience of developing and presenting scientific/medical content at a variety of levels, including to practicing clinical peers and seniors (essential).
- Good communication and presentation skills (essential).
- Meeting planning and facilitation skills and ability to interface effectively with a variety of technical platforms.
- Ability to function in a team-oriented (matrix) environment.
- Demonstrated ability to organise, prioritise, and work effectively in a constantly changing environment.
- Proficient with ability to develop good relationships and credibility with medical professionals.
- Very frequent travels will be required.
