Galaxy Technology Systems is looking for a skilled and motivated Installation & Service Engineer to join our growing team. This is a hands‑on role involving the installation, servicing, and commissioning of integrated technology systems across a range of sectors including education, corporate, retail, and industrial environments. You’ll be working on a variety of projects, delivering high-quality installations and supporting clients with reliable, well‑executed systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and configure AV and integrated technology systems on client sites
  • Carry out servicing, fault finding, and maintenance of installed systems
  • Assist with system commissioning and ensure all installations meet required specifications
  • Work with structured cabling (data, AV, and control cabling) to a high standard
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system designs
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company and site requirements
  • Provide a professional and customer‑focused experience on site
  • Complete relevant documentation and reports for installations and service visits

Experience & Skills Required

  • Proven experience in installation and servicing of AV or technology systems
  • Good understanding of interactive technologies and video conferencing systems
  • Familiarity with Extron systems (or similar AV control platforms)
  • Strong cabling and installation skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to fault‑find and resolve technical issues independently
  • Comfortable working in a variety of environments (education, commercial, industrial, retail)
  • Ability to read and work from technical drawings

Certifications & Requirements

  • IPAF and PASMA certifications (preferred)
  • ECS card (preferred)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel and stay overnight when required
