Galaxy Technology Systems is looking for a skilled and motivated Installation & Service Engineer to join our growing team. This is a hands‑on role involving the installation, servicing, and commissioning of integrated technology systems across a range of sectors including education, corporate, retail, and industrial environments. You’ll be working on a variety of projects, delivering high-quality installations and supporting clients with reliable, well‑executed systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure AV and integrated technology systems on client sites
- Carry out servicing, fault finding, and maintenance of installed systems
- Assist with system commissioning and ensure all installations meet required specifications
- Work with structured cabling (data, AV, and control cabling) to a high standard
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system designs
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company and site requirements
- Provide a professional and customer‑focused experience on site
- Complete relevant documentation and reports for installations and service visits
Experience & Skills Required
- Proven experience in installation and servicing of AV or technology systems
- Good understanding of interactive technologies and video conferencing systems
- Familiarity with Extron systems (or similar AV control platforms)
- Strong cabling and installation skills with attention to detail
- Ability to fault‑find and resolve technical issues independently
- Comfortable working in a variety of environments (education, commercial, industrial, retail)
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings
Certifications & Requirements
- IPAF and PASMA certifications (preferred)
- ECS card (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight when required
