Galaxy Personnel are currently looking for a C+E driver (wagon and drag, training will be provided) Monday to Friday approximately 50 hours per week. 0200 start, 1-3 nights out per week with additional premium £25.00. Rate £19.50 per hour on a temporary ongoing basis. Overtime at x1.5 after 8 hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Class 1 wagon and drag vehicles safely on designated night trunking and delivery routes across the UK.
- Conduct thorough pre-and-post-trip vehicle checks, reporting any defects immediately to ensure road worthiness.
- Ensure secure coupling and uncoupling of the prime mover and drawbar trailer combinations.
- Adhere strictly to EU Drivers’ Hours, Tachograph regulations, and the Working Time Directive (WTD).
- Complete all digital and physical paperwork, including delivery notes and run sheets, with high accuracy.
- Maintain continuous communication with the Norwich transport hub regarding traffic delays or scheduling updates.
- Comply with all health and safety protocols at both the primary depot and third-party delivery sites.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Licence: Valid UK Driving Licence with Category C+E (Class 1) entitlement.
- Qualifications: Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Experience: Prior experience operating Wagon and Drag (Drawbar) vehicles is highly advantageous, though specific type-training can be provided for the right candidate.
- Compliance: Excellent working knowledge of road transport regulations and driver hour limits.
