Location: Mildenhall, Suffolk

Working hours: Monday to Friday, full time hours 8.00am - 17.00pm

Capacity of role: Permanent position

Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum

Our client is a leading and established company who are looking for a toolmaker to join their busy manufacturing team. Candidates will need to be proficient in toolmaking and will have working experience of CNC machinery, ideally lathes.

Main duties will include:

  • Manufacture, modify, repair, and maintain production tooling and fixtures
  • Work with traditional tool room and workshop machinery
  • Support production by troubleshooting tooling issues and implementing improvements
  • Assist with tooling trials, testing, and fault finding
  • Carry out preventative maintenance to ensure tooling reliability and longevity
  • Maintain accurate documentation relating to tooling and maintenance activities
  • Work within ISO quality and regulatory standards
  • Attend occasional UK/international travel for project-related work
  • Participate in relevant training courses to support ongoing development

Candidate attributes:

  • Proven experience working as a Toolmaker or within a toolroom environment
  • Experience using toolroom/workshop-based machinery
  • A qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Toolmaking, or equivalent hands-on experience
