Role Production Engineer role Location Mildenhall, Suffolk Working hours ? Sunday to Tuesday 1st week and then Sunday to Wednesday 2nd week rotating – 6am 6pm or ? They are currently looking to recruit for additional engineers to support their busy order book. This role is a permanent position and boasts an immediate start. Main duties will include – ? To assist the Department Head in maintaining product output in the Assembly Area Department. ? To investigate and where possible offer suggestions for process improvements and/or cost reductions. ? To assist in running Assembly Machines when necessary to maintain production output. ? To assist in the training of new staff and progression training of existing staff. ? To diagnose faults and repair Assembly Machines and associated Equipment. ? To complete and update tasks using a Maintenance based software. ? To provide assistance as and when required to any and all members of the Assembly Area team ? To provide assistance to Engineers from outside of the Assembly Area Department as and when required. ? To assist with any other requirements associated with the Assembly Area Department. Candidate Attributes – ? Experience in using a range of tool room / work shop based machinery. ? Have at least 5-10 years experience of working in a production assembly environment, preferably on a 24/7 or at the very least, a shift type basis. ? Very good mechanical aptitude and be able to diagnose faults associated with Machine Wear and Product Quality. ? Show disciplined, self-motivated and be able to work as both an individual and as part of a team. ? The individual may also be asked, as part of a team, to support the Assembly Area Department as and when necessary, outside of normal working hours. ? Familiar with ISO 9001:2015 and have strong communication skills, being able to discuss problems and issues with all levels of personnel.
