Our client is currently recruiting for a design engineer to join their busy drawing team. Applicants will have worked in a similar position previously and will be conversant with designing working with 3D packages.
Main duties
- To assist with the continued implementation of Autodesk Inventor 3D and Vault Professional within the Engineering & Design Team.
- Creating bill of materials for production process
- To be involved in continuous improvement techniques, lean initiatives and other activities to improve the overall efficiency of the Company, including via ISO 9001 accreditation.
- To utilise best practice and ensure that all designs eliminate hazards and reduce risks, as far as is reasonably practicable.
- To assist change and develop more efficient processes within the Engineering & Design team
Candidate attributes
- Experience within manufacturing business
- Autodesk Inventor 3D, SolidWorks, or similar 3D software and AutoCAD experience.
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Desirable - Degree/HND in an engineering/manufacturing qualification or equivalent work experience in a related role.
