Role – Mechanical Design Engineer position

Location -Based close to Diss, Norfolk

Working hours – Monday to Friday – Full time hours

Rate of pay – £45,000 per annum

Capacity of role – Permanent position

Responsibilities

  • Converting conceptual ideals into practical designs using Solidworks and AutoCAD design packages.
  • Creating prototypes to test designs and gather feedback which helps refine the final product range.
  • Managing costs during the design and production process
  • Maintaining details records of design processes and specifications.
  • Compiling bill of materials for the production process and to ensure that the correct materials are ordered in for the product range

Candidate Attributes

  • Previous experience as a Design Engineer or a similar role
  • Working experience using Solidworks and AutoCAD software;
  • Good understanding of safety standards and environmental impact of a design
  • Ability to present in front of stakeholders and managers
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field
