Role – Mechanical Design Engineer position
Location -Based close to Diss, Norfolk
Working hours – Monday to Friday – Full time hours
Rate of pay – £45,000 per annum
Capacity of role – Permanent position
Responsibilities
- Converting conceptual ideals into practical designs using Solidworks and AutoCAD design packages.
- Creating prototypes to test designs and gather feedback which helps refine the final product range.
- Managing costs during the design and production process
- Maintaining details records of design processes and specifications.
- Compiling bill of materials for the production process and to ensure that the correct materials are ordered in for the product range
Candidate Attributes
- Previous experience as a Design Engineer or a similar role
- Working experience using Solidworks and AutoCAD software;
- Good understanding of safety standards and environmental impact of a design
- Ability to present in front of stakeholders and managers
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field
