Galaxy Personnel Ltd are looking for Class 1 Night drivers in the Bury St Edmunds area. This will be on a Temp to Perm basis.
Pay: Earn £16.00 per hour (PAYE), guaranteed 42.5 hours per week.
Core Responsibilities:
- Multi-Drop Deliveries: Completing between 6 and 15 drops per shift, depending on the route and product type.
- Manual Handling: Loading and unloading goods, often using equipment like tail lifts, pallet trucks, sack barrows, or roll cages.
- Compliance: Strictly adhering to EU Drivers' Hours, Tachograph regulations, and the Working Time Directive (WTD).
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conducting daily pre-shift and post-shift inspections to ensure roadworthiness and reporting defects.
Requirements:
- Valid Cat C driving license, Digi card, CPC card.
- ADR license preferable (not essential).
- Familiarity with drivers' hours legislation and tachograph.
- Successful candidates require a DBS check.

- New/inexperienced drivers who hold the relevant truck/HGV licenses are welcome to apply.
- For insurance purposes, you must have relevant HGV experience, should have no more than 6 points on your license, and no DD or DR convictions in the last year.
