Role Sheet Metal Worker/Plating role Location Thetford, Norfolk Working hours Monday to Friday Full time hours Rate of pay £17.50 per hour – £20.00 per hour Capacity of role Temporary to Permanent positon Our client is a leading manufacturer who is currently recruiting for a sheet metal worker/plater to join their workshop team. Candidates will need to be familiar with engineering practises and will have worked in a similar position previously Main duties will include Cutting and shaping sheet metal into specific sizes and shapes working to customer specifications. Installing sheet metal components, such as ducts, vents, and gutters in the appropriate locations. Use specialised tools and equipment to bend, join, and fasten sheet metal pieces together. Measuring and marking sheet metal to ensure accuracy and precision in fabrication and installation. Understand and follow building codes and safety regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards. Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine specifications and requirements for sheet metal installation. Keep work areas clean and organized to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
