A position has become available for a Credit Controller to join the team due to an internal move. The Credit Controller is responsible for a wide array of credit control tasks, helping assess customer credit risks and arranging prompt payments from our customers. They will be a confident communicator with attention to detail, be highly organised and proactive. A part of Galaxy’s success has come from maintaining a lean head‑office structure where each function supports each other. The role would assist other support functions where necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Being the primary credit contact for several Galaxy branches
  • Credit application appraisal and new account setup
  • Contacting customers to arrange payments
  • Supporting invoicing and credit note processes
  • Occasional other financial duties

About You:

  • Experience working in credit control, however other finance experience welcome
  • Strong communicator, capable of speaking to people at all levels within a business
  • A high level of accuracy with good communication and IT skills
  • Self‑motivated, take ownership and be proactive
  • Structured and organised approach to work

Pension: 26 days holiday (plus bank holidays and Christmas Eve), Tax‑free bonus (following a year’s employment), Life assurance, Westfield Health

Hours of Work: 8:30am – 5:00pm (37.5 hours/week) with 1 hour for lunch per day.
