Role Purpose: This is a client-facing role within Tech Mahindra Consulting (TMC), supporting Japanese life insurance clients undertaking enterprise-wide business and operating model transformation. The Product Owner / Product Manager will be responsible for translating TechM’s insurance client’s life, retirement, and succession planning strategy into clear, execution-ready product outcomes. The role acts as the primary interface between business stakeholders, transformation leadership, and delivery teams to ensure solutions are aligned to customer needs, regulatory expectations, and long-term value realization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define product vision, roadmap, OKRs/KPIs for planning journeys; align with business, risk, compliance, and technology stakeholders.
- Own and prioritize product backlog (epics/features/stories), define acceptance criteria, manage scope and dependencies.
- Partner with UX/Engineering/Architecture/Data to shape solution design; support release planning and value tracking.
- Ensure domain/regulatory alignment (e.g., advice/disclosures, suitability, data/privacy) across product increments.
Experience & Skills:
- Strong experience in insurance / wealth / retirement / annuity / succession planning journeys (digital and/or advisor-led).
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and decision-making; able to operate in complex, regulated environments.
- Proven PO/PM experience in Agile delivery; hands-on with story writing, prioritization, and sprint execution.
