Role Summary/Purpose: Technical engineer role, responsible for supporting the WAN/LAN and WLAN Network Infrastructure. The role is to take full knowledge transition from the current team and then support steady state through delivering Network Service Requests, Incident resolution, and Change execution for the Data Centre’s network environments.
Requirements:
- 5-7 Years of overall experience.
- WAN/ LAN, Network Data and Security knowledge.
- Knowledge of configuring routers, switches, wireless controllers and firewalls.
- Prior experience of NoC /Incident Handling and supporting Network technologies such as routing/switching, firewalls, load balancers, and proxies.
- Experience working with alerting and monitoring tools such as CISCO DNA-C, Prime, Nagios Solarwind, NetScout Pulse, Live action NX etc.
- Experience with tools such as Infoblox (DNS/DHCP and IPAM).
- Experience with Global-Protect VPN.
- Experience working with any ITSM tool such as Service Now.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Document and control Design as well as process Standard Operating Procedure (SOP’s) for network services.
- Collaboration with other teams across Linux, Windows, and DB teams.
Desired Qualification:
- Technical understanding of DC Architecture, Infrastructure, and service management.
- ITILv3/ITIL4 certified or recent relevant experience working in ITIL controlled environment.
- Some understanding of WAF and Firewall logs etc.
- Quickly able to technically analyse, diagnose, and resolve technical operational incidents and requests.
- Customer first delivery. Resolve issues with a desire to maintain service uptime & performance.
