Gaited Community is the first career and networking platform dedicated exclusively to equestrian professionals. The platform connects global talent, employers, and brands within the equestrian industry, creating a unique ecosystem for professional growth and collaboration. Gaited combines technology with a passion for equestrian sports to support career development and build strong industry connections. Gaited aims to revolutionise the equestrian industry through innovative solutions.
This is a contracted role with the potential to be brought on full-time upon completion of the initial project (duration: 12 weeks with potential to extend). You will work directly with the CEO/Founder to bring the Gaited Community vision to life; the role will be predominantly remote, though occasional in-person meetings may be scheduled. Daily tasks include:
- Creating robust back-end systems
- Implementing user-facing features
- Optimising application performance
- Debugging technical issues
Adherence to best practices in software development and privacy laws will be integral to achieving our goals of creating an innovative platform for the equestrian community.
We have a detailed prototype built in Lovable (React / TypeScript / Tailwind / Supabase), connected to GitHub and ready for a production-quality build. We are looking for a skilled full-stack developer to take this from prototype, along with a provided UX/UI design book, to a live MVP over approximately 12 weeks.

- Supabase (auth, PostgreSQL, RLS, storage, realtime, edge functions)
- Stripe (subscription billing, customer portal)
- Vercel (deployment)
- GitHub (version control, feature branch workflow)

Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Web Application Development and Web Applications
- Strong experience in Back-End Web Development and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
- Experience building three-sided marketplace or multi-user platforms
- Expertise in Software Development, including debugging and optimisation
- Familiarity with best practices in software lifecycle management and version control systems
- Ability to work independently with a well-documented scope and minimal hand-holding
- Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to innovative solutions
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Based in UK, Western Europe, strongly preferred. US and LATAM based contractors will be considered as well.
- Strong preference towards candidates who have personal or professional experience within the equestrian industry.
- Must have fluent proficiency in English.
